The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Since its inception, it has become the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community.
Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society is excited to celebrate our 22nd Annual Buddy Walk! We are thrilled to get back down to it! No restrictions. Just gathering, celebrating, and spreading awareness!!
This year’s walk celebrates the friendships made between individuals, among families, and in our community since 2000. The Buddy Walk® will be held at Southwind Park on Sunday, October 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
